BRING It will be a “bring and braai” so whatever you feel like eating and drinking – bring it!  (Alcohol up to 3.2% is allowed)
Make enough of a good salad and desert to share, that’ll be fun! If you want to sell any products or food, bring it with!


We may need to take a gas grill or two so if you have one, please do so.  If you have a lot of time on hand and are good at baking etc. and want to bring your goods to sell to some “hungry” South Africans, please do so. Let us know what you will bring.

The pavilion has two charcoal grills, 15 universally accessible picnic tables, counters, electricity, running water, adjacent restrooms, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball court.

More things to do:

There are several trails to walk or ride your bike. For more info visit their website. Some of us may get out there earlier to do a walk around the lake.

There is a part of the park which has been allocated for our group, 5 cabins have been set aside .

The bookings HAVE to be made directly with Margi or Brian , please DO NOT book through the website, their number is as follows 970-653-4431

Remember to mention that you are from the SOUTH AFRICA group, so as to be allocated to our reserved spot..

RV stands and tent stands, please make your reservations as well, as they book up quickly….
If any further info is required please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Cecilia…..please book before end of July as this is the only time they will give us before filling it up with other guests!!!

Looking for campgrounds

We are always looking at places for our annual Dixie Indaba. For those of you that have been camping a lot or know of any place that can accommodate a large group with some cabins et. please let us know. The earlier we find something the better our chance of securing the spot. The same for spots to have an nice braai.
